The Facilitators
Meet Sophia
(She/Her)
Sophia has spent the better half of her life teaching and learning many different types of embodiment practices. Using the traumas she has experienced in her own life to transmute the healing practices she has studied.
The classes she offers range far and wide, from restorative and self awakening, to dance, cardio, and breath-work. When you step into retreat with her you will leave with no corner of your being untouched.
Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, her love for nature runs deep. She has also spent the last 15 winters in Nosara and this little slice of heaven in the jungle holds a special space within her teachings as well.
Meet San
(They/She)
San Canessa is a visual artist, movement researcher, and catalyst dedicated to exploring the intersection of creativity and healing. San brings a full-of-care perspective to their work, guiding individuals on their journey to self-discovery and expression. As a music weaver and space holder, San creates immersive experiences that invite participants to connect with their inner and outer waters. They are currently pursuing an MA in Art Therapy and an initiate of The 360 Emergence.
Nosara is located on the the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica
Known for its impressive lush beaches, Nosara is a popular destination among surfers, yogis, families and nature lovers. It is a place of tranquility, natural beauty, consistent waves all year long, and an open multicultural community.
Where is Nosara located ?
Nosara is a small town located in Guanacaste province, in Costa Rica. It has about 10,000 inhabitants and it is in the Southern West Coast of the province, Pacific Ocean, between Tamarindo Beach and Mal Pais & Santa Teresa.
In terms of driving, Nosara is 2.5 hours away from Liberia’s International Airport (LIR), and about a 5-hour drive from San Jose’s International Airport (SJO). There is also a domestic airport right in the middle of Nosara town.
